This painting is rooted in a place that shaped my earliest memories—a small town in Mexico where life moved slowly, where afternoons stretched quietly, and where the church bells marked the rhythm of the day.
Alongside the artwork, I wrote a poem about time, departure, and the memories that stay behind even when we must move forward. It reflects the tenderness of leaving and the beauty of remembering.
In some place,
where life passes by slowly, without haste;
There, where in those afternoons, imagination created your dreams.
And because of those dreams you had to leave, just as the passenger railways left.
In the morning, one can hear the chirping of the birds and the whistle of a passing train.
The church bells keep on tolling, calling to join the rosary prayer. There the memories stay, in some place.

EN ALGÚN LUGAR
En algún lugar,
donde la vida va lenta, no hay prisa;
