Not just any garden, but a place that, for me, was important. It was the source of inspiration for this painting. I created it with great care to capture what holds meaning in my heart.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp class=\"p3\"\u003eAlthough it was a small garden, to us it seemed infinite; and as I painted, I revisited those moments in my memory—listening to the birdsong while we played, and, if we were lucky, catching a glimpse of a “Mayate”\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp class=\"p3\"\u003eI remember there was a pomegranate tree and many flowerpots. I couldn't name all the plants, but there were some flowers that my grandmother called “amorcitos.” I never knew if that was their botanical name or a nickname she gave them.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp class=\"p3\"\u003eThe hummingbirds represent us, running from one place to another, with light hearts and feet. The woman, on the other hand, is my grandmother: the creator of this garden. And the woman who appears in the painting is my grandmother—the creator of that very garden.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp class=\"p1\"\u003eFor the collector who acquired this piece, it evoked memories of a garden belonging to a loved one. The fact that he shared this with me filled my heart with gratitude. To know that a painting can stir the memories of another person is, truly, a gift.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp class=\"p1\"\u003eHubo una vez un jardín stands as a tribute to all those places that shaped us without our ever realizing it—and to the fact that, sometimes, it takes but a single moment for a cherished memory to bloom once more.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp class=\"p1\"\u003e-----------------\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp class=\"p1\"\u003eHubo una vez un jardín no es solo arte, es una pieza de un lugar que, para mí, fue importante y que fue la fuente de inspiración para esta pintura. La realicé con mucho cuidado de poder plasmar lo que tiene un significado en mi corazón.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp class=\"p1\"\u003e\u003cbr\u003eAunque era un jardín pequeño, a nosotros nos parecía infinito y mientras pintaba recordé esos momentos: escuchar el canto de los pájaros mientras jugábamos, y si teníamos suerte veíamos a un mayate.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp class=\"p1\"\u003e\u003cbr\u003eRecuerdo que había un árbol de granadas y muchas macetas. No podría decir el nombre de todas las plantas, pero había unas flores a las que mi abuela llamaba \"amorcitos\". Nunca supe si ese era el nombre real o un apodo que ella les daba.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp class=\"p1\"\u003e\u003cbr\u003eLos colibríes nos representan a nosotros, moviéndonos de un lado a otro; libres, con el corazón y los pies ligeros. Y la mujer que aparece en la pintura es mi abuela: la creadora de ese jardín.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp class=\"p1\"\u003e\u003cbr\u003eAl coleccionista de la obra le recordó el jardín de un ser querido. Que lo compartiera conmigo me llenó de gratitud.
